A Verizon data center in Bloomington, Hennepin County, Minnesota needed a fire code compliant Emergency Responder Radio Coverage System (ERRCS) - also called a Public Safety Distributed Antenna Systems (PS-DAS) or First Responder Radio Coverage System to amplify in-building radio signal strength and coverage. VeriDAS Technologies was selected to design & install the code-required (bi-directional amplifier) BDA signal enhancement system to extend, amplify and optimize the public safety radio system frequencies inside the mission critical data center building.
Baseline RF (radio frequency) signal coverage testing demonstrated the Verizon data center in Bloomington, Hennepin County, Minnesota needed an Emergency Responder Radio Coverage System (ERRCS) installed to allow first responders’ radios to operate inside the server dense building. VeriDAS Technologies worked closely with the AHJ/ Fire Marshal and public safety radio system administrator to design a signal amplification solution that would meet fire code requirements, the General Contractor’s construction timeline and Verizon’s schedule. Thanks to impressive coordination and support from the entire team, VeriDAS was able to quickly design, install and certify the IFC 510 compliant ERRCS. The renovated data center building was able to complete construction and begin operations without delay.
